EMIC

In summer 2012, the EMIC received grant funding from the Economic Development Administration and Big Sky Trust Fund, to conduct a full Impact Study of the 16 country region that makes up the EMIC. Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. of Seattle, Washington have been contracted to conduct the study in 2013. In addition to completing an area-wide impact study, the EMIC has also secured funding to hire a professional Certified Planner, and a Resource Coordinator. These positions will be responsible for assisting communities in their efforts to plan and develop local economies in the face of the energy boom that much of Eastern Montana is presented with.
