Applications for marketing funds for non-profits located within Custer Country are now available. The purpose of these funds is to grow our tourism economy through increased visitor spending throughout Custer Country. Successful applicants will utilize these funds in accordance with Custer Country’s Mission which is to increase visitors to Southeast Montana by increasing awareness of our region, showcasing our cultural heritage, developing memorable experiences and educating our residents about the economic benefits of tourism.
Grants are made available through the lodging tax collected in Custer Country. For every occupied room night in Montana lodging establishments, guests are taxed 7%. A portion of those funds are returned to Southeastern Montana.
There is a total of $8,000 available. Applications are due by 5 p.m. March 21. The Cooperative Marketing Grant Committee consists of Laura Lee Ulrich (Broadus), Kim Trangmoe (Glendive), Dale Galland (Terry).
